Introducing Phono

Post by Phono » Wed May 15, 2019 9:40 pm

Hi everyone,
Let me introduce myself : Phono, previously active on the former forum. I live in France. I ported and debugged the CAN library for STM32F101CBT6 (HardwareCAN), and I wrote a multitasking-friendly version of the Ethernet library.
I have read above about JLCPCB which is truly cheap, as compared to my usual supplier WEDirekt. I will give it a try next time.
I have exclusively used Olimexino STM32 boards in all my projects.
I have professional skills with stepper motors, and I have developped a few applications with them at work.
As far as personal projects, I have built a new regulation for my furnace at home, but my big project is my leisure boat.
It is a 15 m long houseboat for inland waterways with a hybrid propulsion.
It is fully drive by wire with a CAN bus that controls the propulsion (electric motors) and the steering (electric actuators), returns the data including from the BMS and the tank gages to a mobile pulpit that only has rotary controls and push buttons, and a LCD display. Also included is a gyroscope-stabilized automatic steering.
Much fun to design, build, and tune!

Welcome again. We need to see a picture of your pet project !

Hey. Recently, I started working with the CAN library, a couple of questions arose. The can_tx_status function returns nothing. This is probably due to the TXRQ setting in can_transmit CANx-> sTxMailBox [mbx] .TIR = (data | CAN_TMIDxR_TXRQ);

Here are a few pics of my boat :

on the second one, you can see a tiny table on which the control box stands. The control box is shown in the third one.
