Hello !

Post by r2d2 » Tue Sep 24, 2019 5:43 pm

I got a few STM32s one or two years ago (black and "super blue" pills), and decided to use them 2 months ago, because of the Arduino Pro Mini lack of power. No need to explain that since then, I had to learn the hard way due to the information genocide that happened the same week... Roger's core. The main reason : I love STL, and ArduinoSTL by Mike Matera does not compile with the other core (I don't kopnw why...). And Arduino because I have some experience with.

Mainly interested in machine tool applications (as an amateur).

for the official stm32 core, here is where to get started
https://github.com/stm32duino/wiki/wiki
for the libmaple (community) core, there are some clues here

if you got started with the $2 blue pill

get a st-link v2
