Honest STM32F103C Bluepill - kickstarter

Post by Rick Kimball » Tue Mar 26, 2019 9:08 pm

It seems that someone burnt by getting a 32K stm32f103 bluepill (Korishan from stm32duino.com) has decided to solve the problem himself. He has a kickstarter out there to build a bluepill with what you expect:

Supposedly it is a bluepill clone. Hopefully, he has decided to use the proper 1k5 pull up to 3v3 :)

* I'm not affiliated with this at all just noticed it on the eevblog forum.

Nice. If I didn't have 10 Robotdyns & 10 HYTiny's on order I would've bought some.

I kind of understand it (international shipping for such a small project would be way to expensive). But it sucks indeed -_-

Wouldn't mind buying my next batch of bluepill from them, but if they don't ship to EU, I'm out :p

I took the plunge and decided to skip the Honest Bluepill and go for the RobotDyn stm32f303 board. Seems like a nice upgrade for the same footprint and pinouts. It has 8k ccmram / 40k ram/ 256k of flash, modern peripherals and an M4 with hardware floating point what's not to love?

It is a little more expensive than the f103 https://robotdyn.com/3326a9dd-3c19-11e9 ... -1076.html I got 5 so $4.27 a piece. Not much more expensive than the first bluepill I ordered back in 2015. You can also get their bluepill F103 version (however all their boards are black) of this for $2.99. I would expect that to have an honest stm32f103c8 and the proper 1k5 pullup.
