"The Good Oil" thread

Post by BennehBoy » Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:19 pm

You may be wondering why 'The Good Oil' Well, I'm a member on various Land Rover forums, and on a few of them they have a moderated master index which links out to threads which show how to cover the most common topics, these are usually separated out into areas of interest.

For example we could have sections for:
Core Installation
IDE installation
(etc) Not meant to be exhaustive but simply give an idea

Then any good topics that come up simply get added as links to the appropriate sections

This 'master index' is then used a welcome 'read this' before asking questions link... And as an aide memoire for everyone else.

I'd be happy to help moderate it - I look after one for Land Rovers

In my younger days, we called these Frequently Asked Questions.

And yes it is a great idea. Seeing the question about pin numbers in the STM32 Official Core reminded me we need these.

Being also a Land Rover fanboy, I can only agree with @BennehBoy. This is usual on all automotive forums.

A section "Coding" with sub-sections as suggested would be great.

The moderator could be called "Lucas, the Prince of Darkness". He/she would have to keep heat outside, and moisture inside.
